Research

Market Overview

The productivity management software (PMS) market is experiencing significant growth, driven by the increasing need for efficient task and workflow management.

Market Size & Growth

Valued at USD 53.10 billion in 2022, the PMS market is expected to grow at a CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of 14.0% from 2023 to 2030.

Segmentation

The market is segmented by solution type, deployment type, and enterprise size. Content management and collaboration software holds the largest revenue share, while AI & predictive analytics is expected to register the fastest growth.

Key Driving Factor

The rise in remote work, advancements in AI and ML technologies, and the growing adoption of cloud-based solutions are major contributors to this growth.

Competitive Analysis

Our competitive analysis revealed clear opportunities to differentiate our product through key features our competitors lack.

Our AI engine learns and adapts to your unique habits and preferences as they evolve. While other apps use static AI systems, Aware continuously refines its recommendations and schedules based on your real-time behavior.

Unlike apps that focus only on tasks or calendars, Aware creates a unified experience by integrating smart home data and other aspects of your digital life.

Survey Insights

The need for dynamic adaptability.

50% experience daily changes in tasks and priorities, underscoring the need for a flexible and responsive task management system.

Task overload and motivation challenges.

Survey results indicate a high prevalence of task overload (65.4%) and motivation issues (61.5%), necessitating tools for efficient task organization and motivation enhancement.

Structured yet flexible prioritization.

Preference for to-do lists (69.2%) and deadlines (61.5%) shows a desire for clear structure, but there's also a significant need (46.2%) for prioritizing based on personal importance.

Interview Insights

Our user research involved comprehensive interviews with a diverse group of participants representing different work environments and lifestyles. The study included two remote office workers who primarily work from home, one hybrid office worker who splits time between home and office, and three on-site office workers who work exclusively at their workplace locations.

To ensure broader perspective, we also interviewed two college students managing academic workloads and two retired stay-at-home moms with varying scheduling needs and daily routines.

Archetypes

Early archetypes were developed to gain deeper insights into our diverse stakeholders' unique challenges, daily obstacles, and specific pain points across different usage scenarios and contexts.

Personas

These detailed user personas helped illuminate the various difficulties and frustrations our target users encounter in their daily lives.

Design Process

Wireframes

After careful consideration of user needs, we made the strategic decision to incorporate a companion smartwatch application into our design framework. This smartwatch extension will provide users with readily accessible, enhanced guidance throughout their day, allowing them to receive intelligent notifications, quick task updates, and contextual recommendations directly on their wrist.

The watch app serves as a natural complement to the main application, ensuring users stay connected to their personalized productivity system even when their phone isn't immediately accessible.

Mid-fi Iterations

We recognized the need to develop and implement a comprehensive onboarding experience to ensure user success. We determined that a progressive disclosure approach would be most effective, gradually introducing advanced capabilities as users become more comfortable with core functionality.

User Testing

Our comprehensive user testing strategy will focus on three essential core components of the application, each designed to address specific user needs and enhance overall functionality.

The first component, personalized management and automation, concentrates on enriching daily life experiences through sophisticated AI-driven personalization systems, intelligent task automation capabilities, and highly customized scheduling features that adapt to individual user patterns and preferences.

The second component, collaboration and social Integration, emphasizes the creation of seamless schedule sharing mechanisms between users, facilitating improved coordination and collaborative planning while maintaining privacy and user control.

The third component, health, wellness, and environment management, takes a holistic approach by intelligently combining personal health tracking capabilities with advanced smart home control systems, working in harmony to actively promote user wellbeing and optimize environmental comfort throughout the day.
